How jobs work — sync & commitment
Site ↔ game sync: changing your job here reaches the servers in a few seconds (they poll roughly every 10s). You'll get an in-game whisper the moment it lands, and your coloured tag shows on your next chat message. Jobs & progress persist across the whole cluster.
One job at a time, and a commitment. Your first few changes are free; after that each switch costs escalating SurvivalCash, so pick a career rather than hopping. Returning to a job you already held is always free.
